At The Rocks we welcome large and small groups, old and young alike! No longer will you have to travel to the mountains for a gemstone fix! We are open to the general public.

We Do Not Charge an Entrance Fee!

Located in the heart of North Carolina, Royce Reeves has brought the fun and excitement of gemstone mining and gold panning for all ages to central North Carolina. Select from mixed gem bags, or specialty bags with either emerald, ruby, sapphire, topaz, gold or fossil. We also feature a trading post were you can purchase mineral specimens, custom jewelry and more.

The Rocks in Pittsboro, North Carolina is located off US 15-501 South, 2-1/2 miles from the Court House. Clean and efficient, our gemstones are packed in sand making it easy even for the smallest youngster to sift for treasures.
